Man

I just wanted to let you all know that Man is now in his very final days.  His/our family are with him and we taking great care of him, but the end is now very near.

He is as comfortable as he can be, warm and safe and loved and I suppose that is the best that one can hope for in the circumstances.

If you have any capacity for any good thoughts or prayers they would be greatly appreciate and very well received right now.  Other than that, please just hang in there for me to return.  There isn't anything anyone can do now.

Thank you for the support that you have given and will, I know, continue to give.  It is greatly appreciated and very well received.

Sorry the words are not doing well right now.  I will update you as and when I can, probably sometime next week.

In the meantime the link for Five On Friday continues, please feel free to take part or not as you feel appropriate.  I wasn't sure what to do, so decided that as I already had the link posts only scheduled I would leave them to appear.  I hope you understand that is just because I didn't know what else to do.

With love to you all, Amy

  26. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I may have a faint idea what you are going through. Against all expectations, my mother's final stage lasted for 9 months. At 84 she wasn't at all ready to depart even though her body couldn't take the cancer medication. Demanding as she was, I travelled to sit by her bedside practically through every other week. Much more than my fair share fell on me but what else could I do, the only one of her four children without a job or other 'pressing' engagements at that time? When I think about those months - which I seldom do - I am still amazed at my patience as the hardships didn't leave any ill feeling between us four. I hope the end will be peaceful and all will turn well again one day.

  28. Will be thinking of you and your family Amy and hoping for peace with no more pain or discomfort. No one could want for more than being surrounded by love and family when the time comes.
I will not be joining Five on Friday for the next few weeks as I will not have access to the Internet but will catch up with you later in the month. (I'll still be thinking of you though). Take care and look after yourselves at this difficult time.
